PRP Treatment

What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment naturally utilizes your own platelets to create new collagen for tighter and younger looking skin and has no risk of allergy or rejection with this treatment. The platelets contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors which are very important in the healing and regenerating tissue. PRP is plasma with many more platelets than what is typically found in blood. By increasing the concentration of platelets in the area of an injury, the body is able to more quickly and effectively repair the injury.  The concentration of platelets — and, thereby, the concentration of growth factors — can be 5 to 10 times greater (or richer) than usual.

What do we use It for?

Acne/Scar revision and Anti-Aging

Micro-Needling with PRP are effective treatments for scars and anti-aging.  Micro-Needling is the process of creating tiny micro-injuries to the skin with micro-needles (also known as collagen induction therapy CIT).  Platelet rich plasma is then placed on the tiny holes to be absorbed in to the skin.

When PRP is applied to the skin post Micro-Needling, it acts as a trigger to revive the healing process via new cellular generation of fibroblasts, collagen and elastin.  The renewed healing can result in more orderly collagen remodeling, better skin tone, and more natural looking tissue.
