Duties will include:

  • Registering patients. Collecting guarantor/insurance information needed for billing.
  • Verifying patient information.

  • Large volume of telephone calls/scheduling
  • Working with a small team to manage patient flow in office
  • Scanning into EMR and Medical Record Management

Medical Assistant

Metro ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery is seeking candidate for fulltime medical assistant position. We offer an exciting position for the ideal candidate interested in joining our team of 4 physicians and 1 physician assistant.

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to, escorting patients to exam room, obtaining basic patient history, inventory/stocking of supplies in exam rooms, and assisting physicians with daily patient encounters as well as procedures.

The ideal candidate must be punctual, enthusiastic and motivated to learn, and work well in team setting and fast paced environment. Proficiency in Spanish and experience with an EMR is a PLUS.

Additional requirements:

  • 2+ years Medical Assistant experience working in a clinical setting
  • Medical Assistant diploma preferred
  • ENT experience is preferred (willing to consider based on past work experience)
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physician Assistant

Metropolitan ENT is looking to hire an experienced Physician Assistant to join our practice of four ENT Board Certified Head and Neck Surgeons and one PA. We are a very high-paced, busy practice that is growing due to our excellent referral base. Metropolitan ENT, based in Northern Virginia, is strongly committed to quality patient care and we are active in clinical research and allergy.

Applicants with experience in ENT are a plus. PA would primarily work in the outpatient setting but also would assist in surgery. Surgical experience is helpful, but we will train the right candidate.

Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate concern for the health and well-being of others, have superior written and oral communication skills, as well as computer literacy including electronic medical record documentation and the ability to work both as a team member and independently.

Must have BLS and be eligible to participate in and/or have completed an approved ACLS program and Valid VA Board of Medicine License.

Allergy Serum Mixing Technician

TecAllergy Tech/ Position available for experienced CMA, LPN or EMT for in-clinic allergy serum mixing. ENT/Allergy experience preferred but will train. Salary based on experience. This clinical specialist would facilitate the delivery of allergy and immunology services under the supervision of a physician in an otolaryngology practice.

Candidate must possess the ability to perform multiple tasks at once, good communication skills with patients and coworkers, detail-oriented personality, creative thinker with excellent problem solving.

Your duties will include mixing and preparing serums for testing, shots and sublingual therapy; educate patients on how to administer; recognize and be able to handle emergency anaphylactic situations. Candidate must possess the ability to work un-interrupted in an active department without being disrupted and losing correct mixture of serums, draw small amounts of fluid very accurately, Perform monthly maintenance of serums and records; pull expired paperwork, insurances, etc., Keep paperwork current, call patients with expired serums, etc., Keep serums fresh, current and not out of date, Use universal safety precautions as necessary, self-protection, disposal, etc. Verify completeness and accuracy of all shot records and referrals.

Must be proficient with injections, emergency procedures, including CPR certified.

This position requires an especially detail oriented person. This person should essentially learn and or know all roles of an allergy technician, everything from testing, to shots, to mixing. You need to be very professional and willing to study and learn whatever is needed to understand our processes and procedures.
